Scott was one of those kids - a daydreamer with a creative mind and an artistic talent. His talents led to an education and career as a graphic designer & illustrator, an Art Director with advertising agencies and corporations, and several years as owner of his own graphic design and illustration business, "MyScottArt."
Making a Difference in Our World and to Your Audience!
Throughout his life, many influences fueled his passions for learning and self-development, including encouraging parents, studies in psychology, philosophy, sociology and logic, a driving interest in the power of our minds, communication, positive thinking, business relationships and the experiences of life.
Like most people, Scott has faced difficult challenges in his life: job losses, divorce, financial challenges, loss and grief. But recognizing that we cannot change the past, through each experience he resolved to take responsibility for his life, to learn, grow, improve, become stronger, happier and better than he was the day before. In short, Scott found that the path to happiness lies in our thoughts - "Our power is in our mind!"
In 2007, Scott asked himself "What can I do to make a difference in our world?" The answer came in an idea for a one-of-a-kind book. Combining his life-long interests, influences and talents, Scott spend over 5 years and 5,000 hours creating the amazing "Artsy Ant Alphabet Art Adventures."
While working on Artsy Ant, Scott studied successful authors, publishing, businesses, personal development, public speaking and storytelling. He attended workshops, joined Toastmasters to develop speaking and communication skills, CEOSpace to gain business knowledge and connections, and National Speaker Association to network and learn from other speaking-business professionals. As his circle of influence grew, his goals and his desire to make a difference grew.
Now, with additional children's books, educational and transformational books to follow, a growing reputation, engaging personality, energetic stage presence, and a desire to positively impact his audience, Scott has become a highly sought-after speaker and emcee for a variety of organizations and events.
Children's Charity Events
When Scott was young he promised himself, "When I grow up, I'm going to remember what it's like to be a kid." Now, one of the things Scott enjoys most about being a children's book author and speaker is participating in children's charity events and fundraisers. For some, he is invited to serve as a host or emcee, at others he might speak with the organization or tell stories to kids. At most events Scott signs books, while a portion of the proceeds goes to the fundraiser or charity. Scott likes to believe that in many ways he is still a big kid!
